A Staffordshire Wedding Venue: 5 Reasons to Love Sandon Hall

Sandon Hall in Staffordshire isn’t your run-of-the-mill wedding venue. For a start, it’s a stately home surrounded by over 400 acres of verdant countryside and gorgeous on the inside and out. Not far from Stoke, it’s easy to get to and even easier to fall in love with.

At Pink Wedding Days, we list a lot of gorgeous LGBT-friendly wedding venues, but there’s truly something special about Sandon Hall, and we think it should definitely be on your ceremony shortlist.

We’d highly recommend you visit their next wedding fair on April 8th, 2018, between 10am and 4pm.

Here are our 5 reasons to say ‘I do’ to Sandon Hall

1)   On your wedding day, you deserve a grand entrance. Whether by carriage or car, the mile-long drive up to the estate will give you goosebumps.  Think Elizabeth Bennet arriving at Pemberley.

(Funnily enough, Sandon Hall featured in a 2011 episode of ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ where the groom, David, planned a Jane Austen inspired regency wedding there.)

2)   Sandon Hall has historical charm in spades, but it also benefits from a welcoming and warm atmosphere. It isn’t a dusty relic rented out on the weekends; it’s still a family home: the ancestral home of the Harrowby family since 1776, in fact.

3)  The venue comes with exclusive use for twenty-four hours. The entire focus of the day will be on your wedding alone, and who wouldn’t want that?

4)  Couples have the choice of a number of rooms licensed for ceremonies.  There’s also the option of marrying at nearby Sandon Church, too.

And 5) The Hall might be old but the Sandon approach to nuptials isn’t. If you fancy something a little bit different,
then why not have a tipi wedding on the grounds?  With an open fire and reindeer skins, it sounds like a unique opportunity to experience the gorgeous surroundings.

And if you're not looking for a wedding venue in Staffordshire, then keep Sandon Hall in your diary for the next time you're in the county. There are events happening there throughout the year, and you can find out more by visiting the website.
